Works for Queensland has now supported or created more than 2,730 jobs for Far North Queensland.

A further 386 jobs are on the way.

Whether the Holloways Beach Improvement Plan, repairing the JS Love Building in Coen, or the construction of the Georgetown Multi-Sports Facility, we are supporting local councils to deliver infrastructure that creates jobs.

Across the state more than 16,400 jobs have been created or supported through the first two rounds of Works for Queensland, helping councils deliver

1,350 projects for their communities.

Everything the Palaszczuk Government does is about supporting workers and improving the lives of regional Queenslanders.

That’s why we’ve invested $29 billion in infrastructure outside of Greater Brisbane since 2015.

That’s why almost 70 per cent of our entire capital spend has gone to regional Queensland.

This is the Palaszczuk Government’s record.

In contrast, the LNP’s record is cutting, sacking and selling.

They hold Queenslanders back and have no real plans for the state.

The Opposition Leader still won’t explain how she will pay for her $7 billion worth of unfunded promises.

That’s because the answer isn’t good for Queensland.

Whether it’s sacking nurses, doctors and police officers, or selling our publicly owned assets that continue to drive down power prices, the LNP never change.
