Late last month I had the opportunity to visit the new Cairns Rapid Accommodation and Apprenticeship Centre where QBuild trades and apprentices are building modular homes for the state’s north.
The new facility can be used rain, hail or shine to build the modular homes which are built at the same time as site works are carried out. The finished home is then trucked to the site for installation getting Queenslanders into homes faster.
This facility is a big step towards easing the housing crisis and will also provide much needed jobs in the Cairns region.
