Thank you for visiting my web page.

I am proud to call the city of Cairns home and spent many years whilst in the tourism industry travelling the world selling this beautiful destination.

I am honored to be your local representative, and I will never stop being Cairns voice.  I am proud to be part of the Miles Government which understands the importance of jobs and economic opportunities for the Cairns region along with investment in schools. 

As your local MP I am here to assist you in whatever way I can and please do not hesitate to contact my office if you require my assistance.

Letters of Support

Assisting residents with support on the important issues within our community.

Enrolling to Vote

You can enrol or update your electoral details here Australian Electoral Commission (aec.gov.au) or contact my office for a hard copy.

You can request a letter from the Premier of Queensland, Prime Minister of Australia, Governor-General or His Majesty the King to mark the occasions.

90th birthday letters can be requested from:

  • Prime Minister of Australia
  • Premier of Queensland

 

100th, 105th and 110th birthday letters can be requested from:

  • His Majesty The King
  • Governor-General of Australia
  • Prime Minister of Australia
  • Governor of Queensland
  • Premier of Queensland

50 (Golden) anniversary letters can be requested from:

  • Prime Minister of Australia
  • Premier of Queensland
  • Governor of Queensland

 

60, 65, 70 anniversary letters can be requested from:

  • His Majesty The King
  • Governor-General of Australia
  • Prime Minister of Australia
  • Governor of Queensland
  • Premier of Queensland

Step 1

Have a copy of a supporting document to verify the applicant’s date of birth or marriage. These documents include:

  • Birth or marriage certificate (photocopies are acceptable)
  • Passport or citizenship papers (photocopies are acceptable)
    OR
  • Statutory declaration to confirm date of birth, or place and date of marriage. The Statutory declaration needs to be signed by a member of the family and witnessed by a Justice of the Peace or Commissioner for Declarations.

 

Step 2

Download and complete the how to make congratulatory letter application form. Attachment 11.2 Request for a Congratulatory Letter (www.qld.gov.au)

Step 3

Submit the completed form and supporting materials to our office at least 6 weeks prior to the anniversary so that the letters can be delivered in time.

We have available two 3m x 3m metre marquees that come in wheelie bags for easy transportation.

Not-for-profit organisations and community groups maybe eligible for a free Queensland flag if they meet the conditions issued by the Department of Premier and Cabinet.  Please email your request for a flag to my office along with your organisation’s name, address, contact name and contact details. For an Australian flag, an Aboriginal flag or Torres Strait Island flag please contact your federal representative.
